Another sector in the industry has questioned the accuracy of these prices that are circulating in the market. And some have further complained that the published average timber prices are the price of the timber, and this leaves some issues as some transactions become muddled. And finally, they dont want to see prices published as a way of having an advantage over their competitors and sellers. Simply put, there are a number of reasons why people and industry leaders then dont see the publication of timber prices as advantageous. But believe it or not, the publication of timber prices now is important to the industry.

Knowing these prices means you sustain the life of the timber industry. If landowners know these timber prices then they will continue investing in the sector.
